The BOAT
The "Hat
Trick" is a safe, fast, and comfortable
42 foot custom built vessel. It was built
locally by Phil Jones of P.L. Jones' boat
yard in Fishing Creek Maryland.
For your safety and comfort the
enclosed cabin includes
Heat and Air Conditioning
Seating for six passengers
A Dinette for eating
A Color TV and VCR
A microwave
A stereo
A stand up private head
Fresh water
The engine is a
3406 E Caterpillar diesel, that allows the
speed and dependability to get you to and
from the fishing grounds in a safe and
timely manner.
The electronics aboard include
48 mile radar
GPS
Color depth finders
VFH and CB radios
A cell phone
A computer navigation system
The
CAPTAIN
Jim
Smith is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain
with over 30 years of Charter Fishing
experience on the entire Chesapeake Bay. He
is currently a member of the Maryland Charter
Boat Association, Solomon's Charter Captain
Association, and Maryland Water Association. Captain Jim started his
charter career, as a mate at the age of
twelve, working with many different Captains
and gaining a wide variety of knowledge and
different fishing methods. He has fished from
ports North of the Bay Bridge to the Atlantic
Ocean.
Captain Jim has now
owned his own Charter business for over 20
years. During this time, he has acquired a
vast knowledge and experience of all fishing
methods including, trolling, chumming,
jigging, live bait, and bottom fishing.
Captain Jim always says "take a kid
fishing."
